![]() ![]() I always read prologues, but this one had Miranda’s first meeting with Turner, and her 10-year old adoration was making me think “Oh dear, is she going to adore the hero in this mushy way the whole book?” and I put it down. ![]() My Thoughts: At first when I read this book, I thought it was going to be a bit cheesy. While Miranda has finally grown into herself,Turner has become bitter and jaded after his marriage to a woman who cheated on him. Now, 8 years later, Miranda is starting her first season with Olivia, her best friend and Turner’s sister. ![]() The Premise: Miranda Cheever has always been in love with Turner (aka Nigel Bevelstoke, Viscount Turner), since she was 10 when they first met. Turner was nice to Miranda when she was feeling unsure of herself and she always remembered this. A card with a code to download an electronic ARC of What Happens in London was included in the book. This book is the prequel to What Happens to London and was being signed by Julia Quinn at BEA instead of her newest ( What Happens In London ). ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The characters are absolutely amazing – each and every one of them, but the writing my god is so moreish! I couldn’t stop reading and I just wanted to start the next chapter and the next and the next and the next. The world is in chaos and the Reestablishment has taken over who, incidentally, want to use Juliette as a weapon. ![]() Hype over books can be a good and a bad thing.īut why oh WHY didn’t I pick up Shatter Me sooner?! It’s a brilliant dystopian written from the perspective of Juliette, a person with the power to kill just by her touch which has resulted in her being locked up in an asylum. It’s been on my TBR list for ages but I just never got round to reading it! Plus, whenever something is really hyped up, it sort of puts me off sometimes because I think I might go into the story expecting too much from the book and if it doesn’t deliver, it’s always a bit disappointing. I had such an experience with the Shatter Me trilogy. ![]() We all have some book series on our TBRs, a series you’ve heard amazing things about and you keep telling yourself that you need to read it, but of course the time just never comes for some reason and before you know it, it’s months and maybe years later until you finally pick it up. ![]() ![]() ![]() Please be aware that the delivery time frame may vary according to the area of delivery and due to various reasons, the delivery may take longer than the original estimated timeframe. ![]() Delivery with Standard Australia Post usually happens within 2-10 business days from time of dispatch. You can track your delivery by going to AusPost tracking and entering your tracking number - your Order Shipped email will contain this information for each parcel. So, I had several books to read before having to wait for the last one. Luckily, I discovered the series in late 2013. Over the next three years, Sourcebooks published two novels per year, ending with Empower. ![]() The first arrived in the United States in March of 2012. Originally published in Australia, the Embrace series consists of five novels. Four short sentences captured my interest and I embarked on a journey with Violet Eden. There is more to the synopsis however, this was enough. She will have to decide just how much she’s willing to sacrifice. On her 17th birthday, everything will change for Violet Eden. This is why I am forever grateful to whoever wrote the synopsis for Embrace. A well-written synopsis practically guarantees I’ll read. The short paragraph describing a book is everything. “Captures” is the key word in that sentence. If the synopsis captures my interest, I’ll read it. ![]() I haunt bookstores, online or in person, and book recommendation sites for good reads. Okay, so that’s two words, but no less true. ![]() If allowed only one word to describe the Embrace series it would be heartbreakingly magnificent. ![]() ![]() The woman in red is never far away, compelling Blue to keep moving toward the family secrets she must uncover in order to rediscover the voice that is authentically her own. This is the first one I'm recommending to you guys because it's my absolute favorite trilogy of all time (tbh I'm not big on reading series so it's not like it's got much competition) and I WANT EVERYONE ON EARTH TO READ IT (that's why this chapter is 3000 words long lol) Since it's a trilogy I'm going to talk about each book separately for the spoiler part, but for the non spoiler part I'm just going to shortly explain what the story is about in general so that if you haven't heard of it you can decide if it's something you'd like to check out or not. My personal rating for all three of them : 5/5 stars!!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Īll I've been talking about so far is standalone books but I decided it's time to talk about some of my favorite series as well. Goodreads ratings for book 1, 2, and 3 respectively : 4.3, 4.4, and 4.2 Publication date respectively : Nov 2016, Jan 2018, and Nov 2019 Page count respectively : 443, 512, and 640 Genre : Dystopian (more like utopian lol) science fiction ![]() To continue publishing, please remove it or upload a different image.
